This whimsical piece of fiction is written as the protagonist, Eve’s, diary and tells the story of her life and how she met Adam. A tour de force of Twain’s brilliance and wit, the diary reflects a tenderness not found anywhere else in his writings. It is both a romantic tale added to Twain’s other Adam and Eve stories and a loving eulogy to his deceased wife.
